Block Fill & Masonry Pours
Our pump was built for this work. CMU wall fills, block cores, and masonry-heavy jobs where consistency and control matter every foot of the way. We know the pressure, we know the pace, and we know what to watch for.
Residential & Landscaping Jobs
Patios, driveways, and backyard pours on finished properties. Clients here want zero headaches and zero mess. We use a washout system that returns leftover concrete directly into the ready-mix truck so the yard looks the same when we leave as when we arrived.
Backup & Last-Minute Calls
Pump broke down. Operator didn't show. Call us. When we are available we take backup calls and can mobilize fast to get the pour completed. Get us the job details and we'll tell you if we can make it.
Pump & Pour Coordination
We coordinate with your ready-mix supplier and arrive early to walk the site with the crew before the first truck. By the time concrete is rolling, everyone already knows the setup, the sequence, and the plan.
The Mexhon Standard
Most pump operators set up, press buttons, and stand by the truck. On the right job, I man the hose with the crew. You get an operator who is in it with you, not watching from the side.
Mexhon Contracting LLC provides line pump services across the greater Charleston area and surrounding Lowcountry communities. We work with masonry crews, general contractors, concrete finishers, and homeowners on jobs where a line pump is the right tool.
When you are looking to hire a pump operator, what you actually need is someone you can count on to show up. On time, set up early, and ready to go when your crew is ready to go. The rest is details. We take care of the details.
On active construction sites and block fill jobs, the priority is speed and reliability. Time is money and a crew standing around waiting on a pump operator costs everyone. We arrive early, walk the site, and are set up and ready before the pour window opens. If you are scheduled for 10 AM, we are there at 9.
Block fill in particular demands an operator who understands the work. The pressure has to be managed carefully to fill cores consistently without blowing out the block. We have done enough of this work to know what the pump should sound and feel like at every stage of a wall fill.
Patios, driveways, and backyard pours on finished properties are a different kind of job. The homeowner is not looking at the technical side. They are looking at their yard. They want to trust that you will be there when you said you would, that you will not leave a mess, and that their property will look the same when you leave as it did when you arrived.
We use a washout system that returns leftover concrete directly into the ready-mix truck. No pile of hardened concrete left on the grass, no muddy washout puddles. We treat finished properties like finished properties.
When you reach out, give us the details on the job. Volume, access conditions, type of pour, whether it is block fill or a flat slab, anything that tells us what we are walking into. That lets us show up with the right hoses, the right fittings, and the right number of people. A big job gets a bigger crew. A tight retrofit job gets specialized gear. We prepare for what is actually there.
Do you take last-minute or backup calls?
Yes, when we are available. If your pump operator did not show or their equipment went down, call us with the job details and we will let you know if we can get there. We keep our schedule as open as possible for exactly these situations.
What happens when the pump clogs?
Every pump clogs at some point. That is not the question. The question is how fast you clear it and whether the crew has to stand around waiting while you figure it out. We have cleared enough clogs to know where to look first and how to get the line moving again without killing the rhythm of the pour.
How should I prepare for a pump day?
Tell us the details when you book. Volume, type of pour, site access, whether it is block fill or a flatwork slab. The more we know going in, the better prepared we show up. We handle coordination with your ready-mix supplier and we arrive early to walk it with your crew before the first truck.
